Itinerary
Upon arrival at the Cusco city airport, one of our representatives will be waiting to transport you to your selected hotel. In the afternoon the City tour will take place, which will include a visit to the cathedral which has two naves, the company of Jesus and the holy family, inside you will see paintings from the colonial era and the Cusco school, then we will visit the Qoricancha, known as the temple of the sun, today is part of the convent of Santo Domingo. You will see pre-Inca, Inca and colonial-era constructions. Then we will leave the city of Cusco, visiting 4 archaeological zones: Sacsayhuaman, known as the Inca sanctuary, Q'enqo. Also called a zigzag place, Tambomachay, a place dedicated to the cult of water, Pucapucara also called a red fortress, finally we return to the city of Cusco.

Breakfast at the selected hotel; In the morning, pick up from your hotel to enjoy the Moras – Moray ATV tour. The first stop is in the town of Chinchero, where people are dedicated to Inca textiles, they will teach us the process from the extraction of wool, to dyeing and weaving and finally finishing, then we will go to the starting point called Cruz pata where they will give us the implements and the ATVs and a brief explanation of the route and use of the ATV. Then we will arrive at the Moray complex, in Inca times it served as an agricultural laboratory, explanation of the site and free time for photos, then we will visit the Plaza de Maras heading to the Maras salt mines where we will observe salt pools, in Inca times it served for salt extraction and today the local people continue to take advantage of this resource as an economic means and continue with the customs of their ancestors, then we will return to the starting point Cruz pata, and then take the transportation to the city of Cusco.

Breakfast at your selected hotel, in the morning I pick up to have our trip from Cusco – Hydroelectric, the first stop will be in the Ollantaytambo sector, where we will have breakfast and continue towards Hydroelectric, on the way we will ascend to an altitude of 4,316 meters above sea level. Then we will descend, passing through Alfamayo, Santa Teresa (1,575 meters above sea level), where we will have a local lunch, continuing our trip we will arrive at the Hydroelectric sector where the walk begins surrounded by beautiful jungle mountains (high jungle), varieties of flora, rivers, etc., It is a single path along the railway, 02:00 (approximately two hours). Another option is to go by train (approximately one hour – optional/not included). Finally you will arrive at Machupicchu town (Aguas Calientes) where you will have free time to have dinner, and settle into your selected hotel. One of our staff will come to your hotel to explain in detail the itinerary for the visit to Machupicchu the next day.

Breakfast at the selected hotel; In the morning we will board the ecological bus towards the Inca Sanctuary of Machupicchu, the guided tour lasts approximately 2 hours and then free time. Its walls, the intiwatana, plazas, terraces, water fountains, enclosures, staircases from the Inca period, make Machupicchu one of the seven wonders of the world. Optionally, you can take the walk to the viewpoints of Huaynapicchu and/or Machupicchu Mountain, which will take a few hours depending on the physique of each person (The visit is without a guided tour). At the end of the guided tour, we will board the return bus to the town of Machupicchu – hot waters, free time for lunch, then we go to the station to board our return train to Ollantaytambo and take our transportation to the city of Cusco. Breakfast at the selected hotel; In the morning, pick up from your hotel to enjoy the tour of the sacred valley. On the way we will make a brief stop at the Taray viewpoint, where we will appreciate a beautiful landscape of the sacred valley of the Incas, then we will visit Pisaq, the typical market where you can buy crafts, textiles (souvenirs), etc. Then we will take a short walk inside the archaeological complex visiting the Kallacasa sectors, agricultural platforms, water sources, and cemetery. Later we head towards Urubamba, where we will have our buffet lunch (local cuisine). Then our trip is towards Ollantaytambo, a living Inca city, we will visit sectors such as: platforms, Temple of the Sun, Inca Misana, Baños de la Ñusta, Temple of Water, etc. Continuing our trip we will arrive at Chincheros, where you will learn ancestral customs, the work of Andean textiles from extraction to dyeing with native plants of the region and finally finishing with local designs. Finally we will return to the city of Cusco.

Pick up from your hotel will be in the early morning (06:30 – 07:00 a.m.) and then we will head towards the south of the city of Cusco; for an approximate two-hour journey until we reach the Checacupe bridge (Inca-Colonial construction), then we will continue for one hour to the starting point of the walk, the guide will give you a brief recommendation to start a slow walk; From the moment we arrive at the starting point you can see the colorful mountains and as you progress, the panorama improves, you will be able to see three colored mountains, the red valley and the stone forest. Once you reach the viewpoint, the guide will give you the information and free time for photographs. Then we will return to mobility to head towards Cusipata for our buffet lunch and return to Cusco.

Pick-up from your hotel will be in the early morning (04:00 – 04:30 a.m.), then we will take a trip in our vehicle until we reach the town of Mollepata where we will enjoy a delicious semi-buffet breakfast, and then continue for another hour towards the starting point called Soraypampa, where we will begin the walk until we reach the Humantay lagoon which is located at an altitude of 4,200 meters above sea level. Arriving at the place we will be able to appreciate a beautiful landscape, surrounded by beautiful snow-capped peaks that are part of the Andes mountain range. After all the explanation, the guide will give you free time for photographs, then we will return to Soraypampa – Mollepata for our buffet lunch and finally we will return to the city of Cusco.

We will pass through the Chuquicahuana detour towards Acomayo on the way we will observe the Pomacanchi lagoon, a small stop in the province of Sangarará, they will have breakfast, then continue to the Rinconada community where the walk will begin for a period of 2 hours, arriving at the complex they will visit the sectors of IntiPunku (Puerta Del Sol), main square, platform towers, Wiracocha temple, we will return to the town of Sangara to have lunch and return to the city of Cusco.

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will to, you can.
On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.
The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.
Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, hot water facility could be free at lower elevation.
No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.
Yes. Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.
Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season.
It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.
For Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
